The Miss Black Teen Tours program prides itself on its service and commitment to the community. Through the course of the (tour) pageant the young ladies will meet new people, develop new relationships and be exposed to exciting things happening in and around their community.
Unlike most pageants, this pageant is accompanied by a tour. Not only does the pageant concentrate on indivdual performance, but a lot of time is spent in group activity--team-building components. The pageant promotes learning by action and response. It encourages parental involvement, higher education, cultural awareness, character building and service to the community.
